North American Timber

Our North-American partners may count on us for stocking Oregon construction timber, Western Red Cedar, CLS, Southern Yellow Pine, Hemlock, Oregon Clears and Honduras pitch pine. Thanks to the logistically ideal location of van Hoorebeke Timber in Ghent (Kluizendok) we are able to unload ships coming in from Canada directly at our wharf. The timber is also unloaded in Vlissingen and Antwerp to be brought to Ghent afterwards.

Oregon ss/gs

Three times per year, a ship arrives at the Kluizendok with a shipment of about 7,000m³ Oregon.
From Ghent, these construction dimensions are distributed all over Flanders.

Western Red Cedar

We stock this noble wood species in various dimensions ranging from 23 mm to 155 mm thick and 105 mm to 305 mm wide, raw, sawn and/or planed, as façade covers or slats. Furthermore, our planing facility is especially set up to split (i.e. saw into 4 or 5 slats) cedar in a single process.

CLS (Canadian Lumber Standards)

Constantly in stock in all sizes useful for timber-framed construction and/or renovation.

Southern Yellow Pine

The advantage to this wood species is that it can yield virtually flawless timber in substantial widths from 155 mm to 305 mm and in various thicknesses from 26 mm to 52 mm for all manner of in-house applications.

Hemlock, Oregon and Pitch Pine Clears

These clear wood species are in stock at all times in thumb-thick timber or thicker.
